Surfing for ideas

Some people will go to any length to find a way to get a surfing picture onto their website.  In this case it was easy, however,  many home sellers don't have it so easy when it comes to getting ready to sell.  There is often a severe shortage of inspiration and ideas to capture that special something that summarises a home.  But that's okay, we're here to help with a few ideas to get you thinking.

Your Agent will not only know how to help you create a fantastic look for your property, they will also have all the contacts you need to source contractors and tradespeople where required.  Here's a list of what your agent will be able to help you with;  Professional painters, Gardeners (everything from weeding to major landsacpe architecture) Plumbers (spouting, downpipes, roof, bathroom and kitchen taps etc...) Window cleaners (worth at least 100 times what it costs!) House washers (Your grubby weatherboards will usually shine after just one go) General maintenance (for all those odd jobs in between like changing light globes and repairing broken tiles)

Magazines are a great inspiration when you find yourself dying of thirst in the middle of an ideas desert!  Your local bookstore will carry an impressive collection of home style magazines.  There is usually something for everyone in the larger stores. 

Real Estate Websites are full of homes for sale (go figure!)  If you need some good presentation and marketing ideas, why not do a search in your area and see what your competition looks like.  In fact, you can search any real estate site on the net and get ideas. 

Image Libraries are a great way to see instant ideas.  Want ideas for a bathroom or bedroom?  Just type what you want into the search box and let the magic begin.  These images are mostly for sale but there is no need to buy.  Simply scroll though and make some notes about an image you like.   Check out http://istockphoto.com  and http://gettyimages.com
